Base Camp
The Base Camp area is located on the lush playing fields between the main arena and the camping grounds, and is basically the hub for campers. All festival goers are invited to enjoy the Base Camp experience while the main arena is open, however, after the entertainment finishes on the main stages, Base Camp becomes exclusive for campers only.
Following the great feedback in relation to opening Base Camp to all last year, we have fine tuned things to ensure that your festival and camping experiences are even better this year.
Base Camp will feature the following:
- Dance the night away in either The Coconut Club or the Vodka Bar – where you and your friends can enjoy fresh cocktails and get footloose and fancy free
- Take a load off and chill out in the massive Lounge Tent – relax on one of the many comfy lounges and kick back to the chill out tunes.
- Keep an eye out for roving performers
- Hire a Costume from our costume hire shop and dress up as your favourite
- Challenge a mate to a game of Ping Pong at the HBF Ping Pong tent
- Catch up with your mates on the outside or update your status at the Free internet café
- Keeping your valuables safe and recharging your mobile phone is easy just book a Locker Box – for more info click here!
- Refuel at one of the many yummy food stalls
- Refresh yourself with early morning yoga sessions
- Cop a squat in one of shaded areas and chill out for a bit
- Indulge yourself with a cup of barista brewed coffee or in the Therapeutic Chai Tent
- Visit the General Store for your supplies (snacks, soft drinks, water, personal hygiene products) and basic camping gear (tents, bedding)
- Access water points for refills
Base Camp opening hours will be as follows;
Saturday 7th Jan
For campers; 9AM – 2:30AM
For weekend festival goers; 10:30AM – 12:00PM
Sunday 8th Jan
For campers; 6AM – 12:30AM
For weekend festival goers; 10:30AM – 10:30PM
