∞ Cosmo Jarvis ≈

These are heady days for marriage equality. Arguments are raging on both sides as to whether same sex couples have the same rights as their heterosexual brothers and sisters. It’s a much discussed issue. Still – there haven’t been too many songs written as a result. In a strange way, English singer/songwriter Cosmo Jarvis may have indadvertedly penned the first. “Gay Pirates” tells a ye olde tale of… well… a couple of gay pirates. The song has become a cult hit amongst fans of indie folk. So much so that it managed to chart at number 85 in last years Hottest 100. Following it up this year with his super catchy new single “Love This”, Cosmo’s star is definitely on the rise. He’ll be bringing his swag of tunes as well as an infamous swagger (check out the his “Love This” video to get an uncomfortably close glimpse of just how MUCH swagger Cosmo possesses) out to Australia this summer.
